Infrared Salted Sauna
Our booth is 3 therapies in one. This treatment will give your the benefits of the Infrared Sauna, Pink Himalyan Salt (halotherapy) and Light Therapy (Chromatherapy)
An infrared sauna uses light waves to heat your body, not the air. This produces the same affects of execorcising including increased heart rate and detoxifying sweating as a regular sauna. This is good news for people who want the benefits, but can't tolerate the heat!
The Mayo Clinic reported "Several studies have looked at using infrared saunas in the treatment of chronic health problems, such as high blood pressure, congestive heart failure, dementia and Alzheimer's disease, headache, type 2 diabetes and rheumatoid arthritis, and found some evidence of benefit."
Healthlines, Debrah Rose Willson, PHD says "this is an optional treatment for regional or chronic pain, and can be complementary to physical therapy and injury treatment."
Studies on athletes have shown faster healing with heat and so infrared saunas might be appropriate for use in conjunction with good nutrient intake, sleep, and massage. As an alternative to medication, one study suggests this could be one of the tools for people with chronic, difficult to treat pain. Likewise, for those who love the heat of the tanning bed, but want to avoid the cancer-causing UV rays, here is a safer.
The notion of using Himalayan salt comes from the ancient practice of halotherapy, in which people with asthma would spend time in salt caves. It is thought breathing in tiny salt particles can help clear the airways and break down mucus. It is thought that the salt relases negative ions into the air. The negative ions released by the heated salt could improve concentration and focus and help reduce ADHD symptoms.
Our booth also has chromatherapy, which is the use of colored lights to stimulate the mind. Studies have shown, that colored light affects the body and circadian rhythm and can enhance mood, health and sleep patterns.
